Updated codes and guidelines for Medical Professionals from APHRA

The medical Board of Australia have revised their guidelines and codes of conduct, and have a new social media policy which came into effect in mid-March 2014. These guidelines contain important information for all registered health practitioners including:

  • revised guidelines for advertising regulated health services (advertising guidelines)
  • revised guidelines for mandatory notifications
  • revised code of conduct, and
  • a new social media policy
These revised guidelines, codes and policy have been designed to Improve awareness, understanding and compliance and explain the National Boards expectations of practitioners.

Health practitioners should know and understand these documents to ensure their practice meets the National Boards expectations.
