Upcoming education events from the Pain Management Research Institute

Pain Management Multidisciplinary Workshop 2014:
This two week (eight days) workshop is based on the International Association for the Study of Pain (IASP) core curriculum and facilitated by leading specialists in the field of pain management. It is designed for professionals with an interest in learning about current views and approaches to the assessment and management of pain, including nurses, doctors, dentists, psychologists, physiotherapists and other health professionals interested or involved in the care of people with pain problems, as well as those involved in drug development and marketing, and community education. The course commences in February 2014 at Royal North Shore Hospital (RNSH). See attached flyer for more information or to register.

Pain Management Postgraduate Studies 2014, Sydney Medical School:
This program is a postgraduate coursework degree course, with the option to enter or exit at the Graduate Certificate, Graduate Diploma or Masters level. The aim of the program is to improve patient outcomes by providing postgraduate, clinically relevant education to an international standard by educating students in the science, concepts, approaches and procedures relevant to pain management, in the context of a multidisciplinary team. The course is suitable for graduates in medicine, dentistry, psychology, nursing, physiotherapy, occupational therapy and other relevant disciplines. For more information, see attached flyer.
