Survey for family and friends of cancer patients

Deakin University is seeking volunteers to test a new questionnaire that explores the health information needs of family members and friends of people with cancer.

Who is eligible?
People 18 years and older
Husbands, wives, partners, family members, friends, and other people who currently play a role in providing support to someone with cancer

What is the purpose of the research?
The purpose is to test a new questionnaire that explores the challenges that family members and friends of people with cancer (also known as caregivers) might have when finding, understanding and using health information.

Through getting a better understanding of how to assess the information needs of caregivers, we can then develop better education materials and improve ways to support caregivers in their role.

What does the study involve?
If you choose to take part, you will complete one questionnaire. You can choose to complete the questionnaire via pen and paper, or online.

The questionnaire will take approximately 35 minutes to complete.
