Ryde Hospital CT Scanner Replacement

Ryde Hospital CT Scanner Replacement

The CT scanner at Ryde Hospital is being replaced with a new 128-slice machine. Work will commence on Monday 13 Jan 2014. Ryde Hospital will not have any on-site CT service from that morning until the afternoon of Monday 20 Jan 2014 at the earliest.During that time, inpatients and emergency department patients needing CT scans will be transported to Royal North Shore Hospital.

If local GPs are referring patients who are likely to need a CT scan to Ryde Hospital ED, please advise the patients that there will be delays of several hours getting them to RNSH and back again to Ryde. Suitable patients may be referred by their GP to a private radiology practice or to another hospital ED to avoid these delays.
