Nursing and Allied Health Scholarship and Support Scheme (NAHSSS) Closing 18 April

This scheme provides scholarships for nurses working in general practice and in primary health care to provide financial assistance in undertaking formal CPD and post graduate education. These scholarships, previously part of the Practice Nurse Continuing Professional Development Scheme administered by APNA, are now administered by the Australian College of Nursing Australia (ACoN) on behalf of the Commonwealth Department of Health.

Continuing Professional Development scholarships of up to $1,500 are available for nurses, working in general practice, as a contribution toward the cost of accessing:

Short courses
Workshops
Conferences and seminars

Post Graduate scholarships worth up to a total of $15,000 per year, for up to two years, full time study or $7,500 per year, for up to four years, part time study are available and will be awarded as a contribution toward the cost of courses at the following levels:
Graduate Certificate
Graduate Diploma
Masters Program

The current round for NAHSSS scholarships for study in 2014 opened on 3 March and applications will close on 18 April. Visit the APNA website for general information.
