New method of quitting smoking - at no cost

New method of quitting smoking at no cost

The Royal North Shore Hospital is trialling a novel audio-visual based method for quitting smoking, and is looking for men and women smokers over the age of 30 years, with a spouse or partner who is a non-smoker to participate.

Smokers are randomised to a personalised or non-personalised video, and also receive evidence-based counselling to help them quit.

RNSH welcomes the referral of all smokers who are interested in quitting, using our novel strategy. For more information, contact Robin May at 9462 9177 or email Robin.May@health.nsw.gov.au.
