Increased funding for ATAPS

The Department of Health has recently increased funding for the Access to Allied Psychological Services program in order to focus services on Children, Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islanders and Suicide Prevention.

Referrals under the Service Suicide Prevention, Child Mental Health Service and Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander Pathway have been under-utilised this calendar year, therefore, numerous packages are remaining. Currently, NSML has 211 referrals available for Children, 26 referrals available for Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islanders and 115 referrals for Suicide Prevention.

The Access to Allied Psychological Services Program allows your patient to receive up to 12 free psychological sessions from an Allied Health Provider contracted by NSML.
