Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander Priority Access to ATAPS

Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander Priority Access to ATAPS

The Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander Priority ATAPS pathway provides priority access for Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islanders in the Northern Sydney region that have been affected by past forced adoption practices. The primary objective of ATAPS is to provide treatment and support to individuals at risk of or experiencing mental illness.

The Northern Sydney Medicare Local (NSML) ATAPS program is funded to provide free psychological services to Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islanders within the Hornsby, Ku-ring-gai, Ryde and Hunters Hill Local Government Areas.

NSML currently has increased funding to focus on services to this priority group and would like to make you aware of this service to help encourage referrals from GPs.

For more information contact Lucy Shackleton, Mental Health Coordinator, at lshackleton@nsml.com.au or phone 9477 8700.
