6 March is Change Day Make your pledge now to improve the health and wellbeing of others

Change Day is all about each of us Making a Pledge to do one thing (or many things) to improve the health and wellbeing of others. Change Day is about the collective energy, creativity and ideas ofthousands of people who work to improve the health and wellbeing ofothers.

The goal in Australia in 2014 is to mobilise 50,000 people toparticipate in Change Day by making online pledges of action (agreeingto do one thing differently to the improve health and wellbeing ofothers) and committing to make a positive difference.

An online pledge is your way of letting us know the one thing you are going to do differently on 6 March 2014. Making a pledge is absolutely free. All you need to do is make up your mind to do something that will have a positive impact on someones health and wellbeing. You might like to talk to your organisation, school, family, church or local council and see if they can join with you and do something even bigger.

Ideas for pledges:
  • Create a healthy environment
  • Reflect on your performance as a leader and make a change
  • Design services (schools, hospitals, aged care) that promote physical activity, social engagement and participation
  • Make a commitment to smile and encourage your co-workers
  • Champion an effort to close the gap in Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander health
  • Donate blood
